2011 8th Grade Game 1 Vs. St. Bernard

2011-08-28-Game1VsStBernard-article For 29 minutes we controlled the game with St. Bernard both offensively and defensively. Unfortunately, it is a 32 minute game and all of our mistakes caught up to us in the end. Through it all I was proud of how the players responded and did not put their heads down. I was especially pleased with the spirited practices we had the week after and though our game with KCD got a little sloppy at times, overall I was happy with our execution. It doesn't get any easier in the coming weeks and with the nice little break we had over the Labor Day weekend the intensity level at practice will get turned up a bit.

7th/8th Scrimmage vs. Holy Trinity

Helmets-article Being the first time that we had the opportunity to lineup against someone other than our teammates, we did a nice job. We scored on every series (sometimes twice) on Offense and only allowed 1 score on Defense. We have lots of room for improvement, but keeping in mind that we were playing a much larger school we were very pleased overall.

Thanks to the Holy Trinity players, Coaches, and families and good luck for their upcoming season.

2011 Trinity 7 on 7 Tournament

2011-07-16-046Article The old saying that "football is a game of inches" was never truer than it was today. Had we completed a few more passes here or there or had an interception or two when we had the opportunity we could have been playing in the final four of the tournament. With that said, the team did a great job today. They dealt with all kinds of obstacles throughout the week of practice and through it all they did an outstanding job of keeping their focus. Our performance in practice this week, as well as today has done nothing but make us more excited about the upcoming season.
